No dolls No monsters

ongoing work

"No dolls no mosters" examines the relationship with the surroundings which shaped me, the feelings I remember I had, but also the feeling it provokes to me now. It examines the meaning of home as the place one feels familiar with, no matter if those feelings are "nice" or "hard". Both - dolls and monsters - are part of our past. What I tried to escape from, then, seems now to be subject of longing for. It always finds its power in the ability to dream and differentiate.

The project travels me to Germany and Greece as to the roots of my childhood and the roots of my parents growing-up.

Part 1 (White Swan) confronts me with puberty/performing my own criteria, friendship, ambitions, dreams and action. Part 2 (White Lilies) is going to dive in mythology/ history/ dignity as places of the heart, expelled from real places, travelling and seeking emotional safety(Germany/Greece 2015-16)

This project is still developing and I add new photos as if to a pin board whenever I find something that looks like it could belong here.

What means HOME to you: Where do you feel like HOME and why? How does it feel in your new HOME? What do you miss? Is there an object that makes you feel HOME? A gesture, a movement, something abstract?

The POSTCARDS will be published in an online exhibition at
